Students, Professors, Administrators and Technicians.
A wide variety of people work in the Architecture building on Chambers Street: students, professors, lecturers, visiting critics, workshop staff, administrators, technicians. In different ways these people help to sustain the Department as a vital community dedicated to thinking about and making architecture. You will find profiles and contact details for every member of staff in the Department under the following links. There are also details of some of the recent academic visitors to our Department.

Postgraduate Student Community
Some three dozen postgraduate students from a variety of countries pursue individual research for the degrees of MPhil and PhD on theoretical, historical or landscape architecture topics, computer applications, or aspects of environmental science and construction. They organise a weekly seminar series and edit an annual journal, Edinburgh Architecture Research (EAR), which is now in its 32nd year, publishing working papers by students and staff.
The links below lead to the programme for the postgraduate seminar series, and to profiles of individual postgraduate students and their research work.

Undergraduate Student Community
Students play an important role in the life of the Department, not only through their everyday academic work, through their annual colonization of studio spaces, labs and workshops, but also by participating in the management of the Department through its committee structure.
The Undergraduate student society, EUSAS, provides a lively forum for discussion and social life, organizing a diverse range of public lectures, film screenings, and drawing classes.
